Money Is Not The Answer To Planned Parenthood Double Speak, Prayer Is

Friday, November 12th, 2010

Today, two separate campaigns from Planned Parenthood came to our attention. The first is a new brochure put out by the International Planned Parenthood Federation entitled Healthy, Happy and Hot and the other a video made several years back that they took off their site in 2005 entitles A Superhero for Choice. The pro-choice agenda is backed financially by many people, including NGO organizations and our own government using our money.

As a result, PPH keeps producing and distributing deadly propaganda at an alarming rate which at first glance seems hard to counter. Much of what PPH produces is immoral and untrue. On the other hand, the pro-life movement struggles to raise money from individuals and private donors because of lack of access the government funds due to regulatory restrictions. As I read the brochure and viewed the video I prayed that God will provide animators to produce a videos and internet projects to take back territory from the devil – the prince of the power of the air. We need God’s grace, we need resources and money to flood the world and airwaves with the truth about abortion. Yes, there are many good documentaries, books and brochures out there that speak the truth, but their distribution channels pale in comparison to what PPH can do with the backing of, say our government. just had to pull a very negative sexually offensive project off their website due to public outcry against the graphic child abuse impact of the content. People objected so strongly that the project was cancelled. We need more of this –outcries against the devil’s campaigns.

We have nothing to fear from PPH and these other deadly agendas if we but pray. Prayer is more powerful than all the money the government and pro-abort wealthy individuals can pour into the abortion industry. They may have the backing of the government but we have the backing of God. I’ll take God anytime because money is of this world, whereas our fight is a spiritual battle between good and evil. As Scripture tell us, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:10-12 (NIV) With the backing of Almighty God, we will overcome the evil of abortion.

Today let’s talk about getting rid of the brochure. We’ll address the video on another blog. The brochure is so disturbing in so many ways that it’s hard to know where to begin. First, in an article by C-Fam yesterday, they rightly point out that the brochure is “Aimed at young people with HIV, the brochure contains sexually explicit language and promotes casual sex with multiple partners, as well as oral, anal, and homosexual sex.” Not only is it aimed at young people, but it encourages them to “…find out whether there are any centers near to you where you can go without needing the permission of your parents or guardians.” when discussing “sexual health, like STI tests and advice on condoms and contraceptives” and further says “[y]ou should also make sure that you can trust the staff not to tell anyone you were there or why.” They even change the language from sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) to sexually transmitted infections (STIs) to make it seem that it’s not so bad to get an infection as opposed to getting a disease. The manipulative and deceitful tactics of PPH are offensive to any intelligent person. I found the use of silhouettes of children on this page (16) particularly disturbing as they appear to be 12 or 13 years old, at least to this blogger.

Secondly, they treat sex as if it’s a right that every person has regardless of marital status, sexual orientation or age. Yes, people are capable of having sex, but that doesn’t mean that they should be having sex. PPH encourages young people to explore their sexuality for pleasure’s sake instead as an expression of their love for each other or wanting to start a family in the context of marriage. PPH encourages those that drink and use drugs to “plan ahead by bringing condoms and lube or putting close to where you usually have sex.” Additionally, they promote having an abortion if you become pregnant because “[u]nplanned pregnancies can be stressful for both partners and can strain the relationship…” They say that “Women may have an unplanned pregnancy, even if they and their partner(s) use contraceptives, and may wish to terminate their pregnancy by having a safe abortion.” Isn’t that an oxymoron, safe abortion? Notice the manipulation of language. They may “have an unplanned pregnancy” as if someone gave it to them and they just have it and need to get rid of it because they don’t really need it or want it.

This latest brochure is just one more of many harmful projects PPH is trying to push on our young people. Remember their “What’s Up Down There?” campaign?

There is so much more to discuss regarding this brochure so please check back with us for additional blogs.

In the meantime, remember Romans 12:21, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” and 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (emphesis added)

Veterans Day: Giving honor where honor is due

Thursday, November 11th, 2010

In John 12:26, Jesus says: “If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall My servant also be; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.”

Honor is what Veterans Day is all about. Those we honor today have served our country, and many of them are also servants of God. They seek to honor God, they seek to serve. The Book of Proverbs teaches us that before honor comes humility, and we celebrate and honor the veterans today, those who have humbly served our nation; many of whom have suffered great loss to pay for our nation’s security.

I can remember those days in the seventies, being an “Army wife.” One doesn’t forget the anxiety, the concern for our families and for our country. I join the families of our veterans in prayer as we remember their service to our nation.

I struggle with the desire to say something on behalf of the unborn in this memorial to our veterans. Some would say that it would be callous to bring them up in the middle of a tribute to our noble veterans. I will only ask one question. How many warriors have been killed in the womb, before they could be born to serve?

Oh that God’s love would rise up and triumph over war! May God bless our veterans, and may God bless and deliver America.

Abortion Supporters I Choose Life Campaign Is A Good Start But They Ignore The Deadly Impact Of Abortion In Their Campaign

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

In the “I Choose Life” website under the “About Us” tab, they state that “every 9½ minutes, someone in the US is infected with HIV” (statistic from CDC). Not dies from HIV, but is infected with HIV. And they call this an epidemic, which it may be. But, compare that to the fact that every 9½ minutes over 23 babies are killed by abortion, I ask you, “Which is the worst epidemic?”

It is a noble cause for the “National Action Network (NAN) [to launch] a five-year “I Choose Life” campaign, in partnership with social, civic, civil rights organizations and the medical community that will address five major interrelated health concerns and disparities facing the African American community; diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure (hypertension), HIV/AIDS (STD’s), mental health and obesity. National Action Network (NAN) has developed a vital, inclusive and workable cooperative project between the African American community and a network of health providers, advocates, activists, community leaders and organizations, clergy, celebrities, governmental allies, persons directly affected, as well as those vulnerable.” However, they fail to include the greatest threat to the African American community, abortion. If they are really serious about helping the most vulnerable, they need to include abortion because no one is more vulnerable than those that do not have a voice. How can you say ‘I choose life” while choosing to murder your child. If you’re going to choose life, choose life for everyone.

In their mission statement they claim to “improve the health of the African American community … [by] [d]rawing on its life-affirming cultural values and internal resources, to enable the community to become effectively informed, organized and engaged in a cooperative health care and prevention project focused on choosing life and rejecting ideas and actions which lead to health deterioration and death.” With half of Black’s abortions ending in abortion, that can hardly be viewed as “life-affirming cultural values.” Additionally, with so many “activists, community leaders and organizations, clergy, celebrities, governmental allies” ignoring the truth about abortion, how is the African American community going to be “effectively informed, organized and engaged?”

To Rev. Al Sharpton, President of “I Choose Life”, I say, “We in the African American community appreciate what you’re trying to do to combat health issues in our community but until the most important issue of abortion is addressed, if Planned Parenthood has its way, there won’t be a black community to worry about, let alone worry about their health.”

“Rev. Sharpton, I challenge you to speak out about abortion to your fellow brothers and sisters you care so much about. Expose the truth that is so evident. Join me in truly making our African American community one of life-affirming cultural values.”

God Bless!

New Facades Can Not Hide Abortion Industrys Racism

Tuesday, November 9th, 2010

Planned Parenthood recently opened a new 50,000 square foot big box abortion store in Stapleton. Gated and nicely landscaped, the facility is the latest façade erected by an industry that has operated behind veneers, euphemisms, and outright falsehoods for its entire existence. One of that industry’s ugly truths, though, is now piercing the public relations veil it has so carefully woven.

The killing tools of abortionists are as aimed at blacks today as the fire hoses of segregationists 50 years ago.

Taking more African American lives than gun violence, heart disease, cancer, and AIDS combined, abortion seems to have targeted blacks in a way that can only make remaining Ku Klux Klan members smile. For every three living African Americans, there is one who has been aborted. It’s as if a plague swept through the black community and took every fourth person.

The numbers speak for themselves. According to the abortion industry’s own Alan Guttmacher Institute, black women are 4.8 times more likely to have an abortion than white women. African Americans comprise about 13 percent of the population, yet receive 37 percent of all abortions. And like Planned Parenthood’s new Colorado mega-center, most abortion businesses are located in or adjacent to predominantly minority neighborhoods.

Since Colorado became the first state to liberalize its abortion law in 1967, over 50 million Americans have gone missing. These aborted missing ones were brutalized and eliminated because of who they were. They are now gone because too many of us believed the lies that unborn babies aren’t really babies and human lives don’t begin at their beginnings.

I know. Two of those 50 million were my own children.

Defending the unborn has become the civil rights cause of this generation. I say this not just because abortion attacks the black community, but because it attacks the most innocent and helpless among us. Certainly, the numbers tell us that blacks, Hispanics, and the disabled in the womb are more at risk, but anyone with unborn status is subject to abortion’s lethal and inherently discriminatory victimization.

On Monday night, August 25, 2008 at Martin Luther King Park, I was honored to have spoken on behalf of these victims at Light in the Darkness, a peaceful prayer vigil and rally. I was joined by Archbishop Charles Chaput, O.F.M. Cap., Pastor Willard Johnson of Macedonia Baptist Church, other local pastors and people of good will in standing witness against the activities taking place only a block away at Planned Parenthood’s new edifice. The program included speakers, music, and prayer and was concluded with a silent, prayerful march around Planned Parenthood’s building.

My uncle Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once wrote, “The Negro cannot win if he is willing to sell the future of his children for his personal and immediate comfort and safety.” My grandfather Dr. Martin Luther King, Sr. was the head of a very pro-life family. My father Rev. A. D. King was a champion for youth and children’s rights. Though they have all “gone on to glory,” I believe they would join me in saying now that America cannot win if we are willing to sacrifice the lives of our children for immediate personal comfort and safety.

Planned Parenthood, which gave an award to my uncle before it revealed its abortion agenda and which told me that one of my children was just a clump of cells, has lied to my family for the last time. The abortion industry, which profits through cruelty and deceit, can’t hide the truth no matter how many new facades it constructs. And you and I, who lived for years with the comfort of denial, can no longer do so. Fifty million missing won’t let us.

Which Do You Choose

Monday, November 8th, 2010

The following story is from Operation Save America

A worried woman went to her gynecologist and said: ‘Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even one year old, and I’m pregnant again. I don’t want kids so close together.’

So the doctor said: ‘Ok and what do you want me to do?’

She said: ‘I want you to end my pregnancy, and I’m counting on your help with this.’

The doctor thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the lady: ‘I think I have a better solution for your problem. It’s less dangerous for you too.’ She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request.

Then he continued: ‘You see, in order for you not to have to take care of 2 babies at the same time, let’s kill the one in your arms. This way, you could rest some before the other one is born. If we’re going to kill one of them, it doesn’t matter which one it is. There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms.’

The lady was horrified and said: ‘No doctor! How terrible! It’s a crime to kill a child!’

‘I agree’, the doctor replied. ‘But you seemed to be OK with it, so I thought maybe that was the best solution.’

The doctor smiled, realizing that he had made his point. He convinced the mom that There is no difference in killing a child that’s already been born and one that’s still in the womb. The crime is the same!

Together we can help save precious lives!

Satan Is Alive And Running Scared

Friday, November 5th, 2010

A new trend is running on Twitter. Someone with the clever Twitter name @IAmDrTiller tweeted, “Time for us to come out. Who’s had an abortion? Show antis we’re not intimidated by scare tactics. Use #ihadanabortion.”

So pro-aborts are beginning to worry about the new direction the elections and the newly elected pro-life politicians might take this country in. This new tactic is despicable and what’s more despicable is the response. We are ready for their new tweet attack.

The campaign has gone viral and we in the pro-life movement must join the conversation. To allow them to promote abortions as a victimless evil is not an option. Abortion is an evil that claims several: the baby, the mother, the father and other family members, and yes even our society as a whole. We as citizens of these United States do not live in individual bubbles. What someone does effects others around them.

Another thing about abortion is that many times the effects of the abortion are not realized for years later. Many of times those effects go unnoticed or dismissed as being caused by other life events. Abortion is murder. How can a person murder their baby, a part of them, and not feel remorse, bad, sad, guilt, and a sense of emptiness, either now or years later?

But the good news is that there is help. If you’ve had an abortion, even if you’re proud of it now and not ashamed, and the time comes when you feel you need to talk to someone, Rachel’s Vineyard is here for you. If you want hear from those that have had abortions and have found healing and forgiveness, go to Silent No More Awareness and listen to their testimonies.

We are glad @IAmDrTiller started the dialogue that is bringing much needed awareness to the subject of abortion and the effects it has on our society. Satan always tries new things to destroy our souls but our God turns the tables on him and brings victory. Good will always triumph over evil.

Prayer to End Abortion – Oración para abolir el aborto

Thursday, November 4th, 2010

Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life,
And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters.
I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion,
Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death
by the Resurrection of Your Son.
I am ready to do my part in ending abortion.
Today I commit myself
Never to be silent,
Never to be passive,
Never to be forgetful of the unborn.
I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement,
And never to stop defending life
Until all my brothers and sisters are protected,
And our nation once again becomes
A nation with liberty and justice
Not just for some, but for all,
Through Christ our Lord. Amen!

Amen!

Post Elections Thoughts

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

In the midst of babysitting my little granddaughter, making spaghetti sauce for her mother and aunt and uncles, taking some phone calls of congratulations and commiseration… Congratulations are coming in from friends and family who are puzzled by the political sweep that has put conservatives back in “power.” The commiseration comes from those who still consider themselves “victims” of those they consider to be their enemies in the political realm. For me, the question “What does victory look like?” comes to mind.

In my article The Church Can Turn The Tide, we can see that our major responsibility remains in the prayer realm, not the political realm. This is not a time to rest on our laurels by any means. The most successful strategies remain in the realm of prayer and Christian political responsibility. Like Daniel and Joseph and Esther of old, we must use our influence to pray for those in authority so that we can lead peaceful lives.

Over the next few months, leading up to the critical elections of 2010, we need to flood the atmosphere with our prayers… Prayer for life, marriage, family, values affirming education, lower rates of incarceration of our children, financial stability based upon Christian stewardship, the defeat of idols in high places, and end to abortion, and healing for our land.

We must stay in constant contact and communication with our elected officials. This is a good time to press for affirming the dignity of life from conception until natural death through a sound “personhood” agenda. This is also a good time for advancing awareness campaigns including the genocide factors, the harm abortion does to women and families, and the healing after abortion that is available to women and men who have been victims of loss of life of children through abortion.

Friends, this is no time to rest on our laurels. Let’s get busy, or stay busy working for life! Amen.

Planned Parenthood Is Suspected Of Medicaid Overbilling – Why Is Nothing Being Done About It?

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010

An article published Saturday in reports of a case settlement between the state of Washington and Planned Parenthood of the Inland Northwest in which Planned Parenthood agreed to pay only $345,000 and not have to admit any incorrect billing, documentation or payment. According to the Associated Press, an internal audit showed that they had received $629,143 over a three-year period from overbilling the state of Washington. That means they got to keep $284,143. What a deal, at least for Planned Parenthood, not for the taxpayers of the state of Washington. So how did they work out such a sweet deal?

According to, “Schmidt [David Schmidt of the pro-life group Life Action, which monitors Planned Parenthood] says “Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards was with Washington’s pro-abortion Governor Christine Gregoire earlier this month” and noted a message posted on her Facebook account saying it was “great” to spend time with her.”

(From Cecile Richards’ Facebook page)
Cecile Richards: campaigning today for Senator Patty Murray in Washington state – great to be with Governor Christine Gregoire! Thanks to all the PP Votes volunteers who are phonebanking and doorknocking to let voters know Dino Rossi’s intensely anti-choice, anti-women’s health positions! October 14 at 2:43am (Emphasis added)

“Did Cecile Richards meet with her pal Governor Christine Gregoire to hash out a deal where Planned Parenthood paid back some of their over-billing while not admitting to any wrongdoing and escaping fraud charges? We may never know for sure but we do know that Planned Parenthood’s operation is routinely protected by political allies,” he said.

The article goes on to site wrongdoing at many other Planned Parenthood affiliate offices all across the country like PPH of Spokane, PPH clinics in Jew Jersey, PPH of Los Angeles, PPH affiliate in San Diego, PPH Golden Gate, PPH in Iowa, and PPH of the Heartland. The numbers are staggering. All together PPH and their affiliates have milked the state and federal government out of millions of dollars going back over the last decade or so. And why do they do it? Because they can, that’s why! Action against them is slow and seems pretty much ineffective. They continue to, not only receive federal money to fund abortions, they also milk the system through overbilling, “unbundling” of charges, billing for services that do not qualify as family planning and overinflating the costs of contraception and medications.

Why isn’t the government doing anything to stop this abuse? Your guess is as good as mine. But, could it be that Congress has been giving them a green light? What we do know is that there’s a lot of stinking thinking going on and like a soiled diaper we must change the thinking. Now that’s “change” you can believe in.
