“I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality.”
Martin Luther King, Jr.

Upon the occasion of the 2016 MLK Holiday, may we thankfully remember in prayer the ministry of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. and “Let Freedom Ring” and “thank God that King had a dream.”

  1. I am a 63 year old white male. Fortunately I never understood racism. One human being against another.

In all my years, other than Jesus Christ, Dr. Martin Luther King is the greatest leader of our time.

He changed our country by opening eye and hearts with “faith based” reasoning. He stayed a BOLD course in a land where the vast majority disliked him. That being the case, I believe he knew one day he would give his life for his cause, and continued to move forward with fear. When I listen to his “mountain top” sermon the day before his death, no doubt he know his time was short.

A true American hero, not only a servant of African Americans during that time but and incredible servant to his country.

  2. I forgot to add this to my previous comment. This country BADLY needs another Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I pray daily that someone will rise up to carry his torch and bring peace to our country.

Hey, Alveda! Why is Al Qaeda more compassionate than you?

The 9/11 hijackers got to die instantly.

  6. Audrey says:

Thank God for his bravery and to Miss King for continuing to lead to victory.
