Consider the Ant . . .

“Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise…” Proverbs 6:6

“Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer…” Proverbs 30:25

People often ask me what I do when I’m not out speaking, or teaching, or preaching, or prolife crusading… Well, today, I considered the ant. And the beetle. And the roses. And my mama. Also, I do washing, cooking, cleaning, and just plain ordinary tasks. I also work on improving relationships with those around me. Just thought you’d like to see some (EXTRA)ordinary pictures of God’s handiwork. And get a peek at my ordinary life. Much love from 1 Corinthians 13.

“The warning against the wastefulness of the prodigal is followed by a warning as emphatic against the wastefulness of sloth. The point of comparison with the ant is not so much the foresight of the insect as its unwearied activity during the appointed season, rebuking man’s inaction at a special crisis Proverbs 6:4. In Proverbs 30:25, the storing, provident habit of the ant is noticed.” Barnes Commentary on the Bible

Speaking of having foresight during prayerfully unwearied activity in the prolife struggle, let us not be slothful in the things of God; Faith, Hope and Love!

Have a blessed week!!!

Thank you so much Elaine for your humbling words and your support. Especially, thank you for the prayer because I could not do the work I do without them.

    God bless,

Hi Dr Alveda, thank you so much for sharing this! Garry and I have been considering the ant in Proverbs too. We have been confronted about our laziness and slothfulness towards the things the Father is calling us to do in this hour especially in regards to us staring Kingdom businesses. One thing that stood out to us about the ant is how it works without a ruler, boss or captain. The ant is an entrepreneur. I want to be antreprenuer….if there is such a thing 🙂

    In Need of His Presence,

P.S. We were talking about the ant with some friends and one of them said that I look like an ant. 🙂
