Don’t “X” Jesus out of Christmas. After all, Jesus is the reason for the season…

My text box is loaded with Christmas greetings today. And dear friends, Merry Christmas to you! For those who are taking a short cut, abbreviating the greeting by writing Merry XMas, please note that Xing Christ out of Christmas is forgetting all about what Jesus did for us by being born of the Virgin Mary, establishing His Kingdom Ministry in the earth, then making that awesome sacrifice with the gruesome yet passionate death at Calvary, then going into hell for those three days and defeating our enemy Satan, then rising again victoriously and ascending to Heaven as our High Priest. The ministry of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit should never be “X”ed out. God bless you.

  1. David says:

Christmas is not even a Christian Holiday and Jesus was not born on Dec. 25. It is a Pagan Holiday called Yule which is part of the winter solstice celebration. The Christians took their God and Replaced the Pagan God and now the Christians are upset because people are taking Jesus out of a Holiday where he never belonged in the first place.

Actually the X is the Greek symbol for Christ… so it is entirely appropriate. That being said I think most folks use it as an abbreviation without knowing its true meaning Ans possibly thinking that they are removing Christ when they are actually affirming him.
