TITUSVILLE, FL -- While some wishful thinkers are predicting a “Democratic wave” swamping House Republicans in the mid-term elections this November, the New York Times is warning its readers that the Republicans have a “structural advantage” working in their favor in the House.

Meanwhile, Vox is highlighting a “narrow path” for Democrats to win back the Senate, and USA Today is pointing out that “pivot counties” can make all the difference.

“With just 100 days to go until the November elections, only two things are certain,” said Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life. “One, the outcome is crucial if we are going to continue to build on the pro-life gains we have made since January 2017, and two, no one who cares about the unborn can afford to sit out this election.”

Father Pavone said Priests for Life has been holding Vote for Life webcasts – the next is scheduled for Aug. 9 – to make sure clergy and lay people are doing all they can to get folks registered and informed about the vote. To sign up for a Vote for Life webcast, go to VoteForLifeTraining.org.

Priests for Life also has begun a nationwide prayer campaign. Go to ElectionPrayer.com for “A Prayer for Our Nation as We Prepare to Elect Our Leaders,” written by Father Pavone.

“Prayer is as important as voting,” he said. “But we can’t do one or the other.  We all must do both. If you can vote early in your state, I urge you to do so.  And please make sure to pray for the election daily.”
