Let’s Not Forget About the Horrors of Abortion

Do you remember Dr. Kermit Gosnell and the abortion clinic which became more commonly known as “House of Horrors”?

On January 19, 2011 Dr. Kermit Gosnell and nine other employees from the West Philadelphia Women’s Medical Society were arrested and charged with various offenses ranging like murder, conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to participate in a corrupt organization, illegally administering drugs to patients without a license, and perjury.

Officials described his squalid clinic like something out of a horror movie.

“There were bags and bottles holding aborted fetuses scattered throughout the building,” said Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams. “There were jars, lining shelves, with severed feet that he kept for no medical purpose.”

Dr. Gosnell aborted some babies by fully delivering the babies and then sticking scissors in the back of the babies’ necks and severing their spinal cords.

When the story first came out there was a lot of media coverage. Then as time has gone on people started forgetting about what was found at this abortion clinic. Many who are not in the pro-life movement probably never even heard of the arrests or if they did they just dismissed it as just another terrible crime in today’s world. But we can’t forget because although this case is a pretty horrible, disturbing one, the same type of abortion centers are still open all over this country. And they too are hurting women.

While film BLOODMONEY describes some of the inner workings of the abortion industry, we must realize that there is so much more to know about what goes on behind closed doors of these killing centers.

Some states like Kansas and Illinois are enacting laws to regulate the abortion clinics which the abortion industry is fighting profusely to limit abortion accountability. The abortion industry doesn’t want to be regulated because it would cut into their profits. They would have to spend time and money to sterilize instruments; they would have to clean rooms where abortions are performed between patients; they would have to pay to have qualified personnel working at these clinics. All of these things cost money and cuts into their profits.

To date, six of the defendants have pled guilty to charges ranging from murder to perjury, most for murder. Some are probably going to testify against the other four which includes Dr. Gosnell.

Pray for the prosecutors in Philadelphia, for their vigorous prosecution of this case and for setting an example for other states to follow. This abortion clinic in Philadelphia is not an isolated case. Like I said earlier, there are abortion clinics all over this country that are operating in the same manner as the “House of Horrors” operated.

We pray that other prosecutors in other states find the courage to do the right thing. They need to go after those that do not follow even the simplest steps to assure cross-contamination from unsterilized instruments; they need to go after those that botch abortions; they need to go after those that disregard regulations.

We must also pray for those who are involved in the killings that they too can come to the light. The late Dr. Bernard Nathanson was one such doctor that saw the evil of what he was doing and got out of the business and began speaking out against abortion. Read his testimony HERE.

We need strong men/women of conviction to protect women from doctors like Gosnell.

Pray to end abortion!

God bless!
