NEW YORK — Priests for Life is one of the national co-sponsoring groups organizing and promoting rallies against Planned Parenthood across the country on Saturday, August 22, and on the same day, will launch a national week of prayer and fasting to end abortion and the evils of Planned Parenthood.

The Silent No More Awareness Campaign, a project of Priests for Life and Anglicans for Life, will have representatives speaking at multiple rallies to share their abortion testimony, and various members of the Priests for Life pastoral team will also give talks at various locations.

The teams will have a presence in at least 26 of the Protest Planned Parenthood rallies, and have fostered participation in hundreds more, particularly through activating the nation’s Churches.

• Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life and author of the newly released book “Abolishing Abortion,” will speak at the Manhattan protest, outside the Margaret Sanger Center, at 26 Bleecker Street.
• Father Denis Wilde, OSA, associate director of Priests for Life, will be at the rally in Augusta, GA
• Father Stephen Imbarrato, pastoral associate for Priests for Life, will lead the protest at the Planned Parenthood in Albuquerque.
• Dr. Alveda King, director of African-American Outreach for Priests for Life, is an organizer and speaker for the rally in Marietta, GA.
• Bryan Kemper, Priests for Life’s youth outreach director, will speak at the event in Dayton, Ohio.

In addition, 22 regional coordinators of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign have helped to organize and will speak at rallies from coast to coast, including: Los Angeles and Vista, CA; Meridian and Silver Spring, MD; St. Louis, MO; Plattsburgh, NY; Eugene, OR; Quakertown, PA; Providence, RI; San Antonio and Austin, TX; Charlottesville, Richmond and Falls Church, VA; Hackensack, NJ; Wisconsin Rapids and Waukesha, WI; Dayton, OH; Everett and Sequim, WA; Louisville, KY, and Birmingham, AL.

Janet Morana, executive director of Priests for Life and co-founder of Silent No More, said
“So many women from the campaign are involved because they bought their abortion at Planned Parenthood but they received substandard medical care that left them with physical or psychological damage,” said Janet Morana, executive . “Their experience trumps the political rhetoric surrounding abortion.”

News outlets planning to cover any of these events are invited to call Leslie Palma at 347-286-7277 or email her at to arrange interviews with anyone on the Priests for Life and Silent No More teams. Any outlets that would like to be provided with photos from the rallies should contact Ms. Palma on Friday morning. Video may be available from select locations.

“At various key moments in our struggle against abortion, something happens that gives the American public a chance to see abortion — and the abortion industry — for what they are. The veil is lifted off of the corruption and horror of these atrocities, which continue not because the American people support them but because abortion industry hides them,” said Father Pavone.

“Now, with the undercover videos of Planned Parenthood, many realize for the first time that abortion is not the serene and innocuous thing that slogans made them think it was, and that Planned Parenthood is not the caring, service-oriented organization that its marketing masters make the public think it is. We are in a brief window of opportunity now to rouse ourselves and our fellow citizens to action.”
