PHILADELPHIA, PA — At the conclusion of the Pro-life International Symposium at the World Meeting of Families here last night, it was announced that on Saturday, October 24, there will be a National Day of Remembrance at the gravesite of the babies killed by Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell and discovered in jars, boxes, and milk cartons in his clinic. Gosnell is in prison for life, for killing babies born alive.
Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, the key organizer of last night’s event and of the upcoming memorial service, stated, “The Medical Examiner’s office refused to allow either the Archdiocese of Philadelphia or Priests for Life to bury these babies, despite repeated private and public requests. Now that they have unceremoniously cremated and buried these children, it is long overdue that there be a public religious service to honor them. We will do that on October 24, and we invite all concerned people from around the nation to join us.”
More information will be released at www.PriestsForLife.org as the details of the event are finalized.
