TITUSVILLE, FL — Alveda King, director of Civil Rights for the Unborn for Priests for Life, will receive the Champion of Life Award from No Longer Bound, an abortion/miscarriage ministry, on March 10 at Faithful Central Bible Church in Inglewood, CA.

Ms. King also will be the keynote speaker at the event, which will begin at 11 a.m. PT. KKLA Radio host Frank Sontag will be the master of ceremonies.

“Evangelist King was sought out to receive the award because her steadfast commitment to promote the sanctity of human life as embedded in the Word of God is inspiring, is the model of courage, and is anointed,” said Tegra Little, founder | director of No Longer Bound, at Faithful Central Bible Church, where Bishop Kenneth C. Ulmer is the Senior Pastor-Teacher.

“No Longer Bound is privileged not only to honor Evangelist King, but also to hear her message at a time and in a culture where the lives of the unborn remain at high risk and men and women continue to suffer from their past abortion or miscarriage experience.”

Ms. King is the daughter of the late civil rights activist Rev. A.D. King and his wife, Naomi Barber King. She grew up in the civil rights movement led by her uncle, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. She sees the pro-life movement as a continuation of the civil rights struggle.

Ms. King works fulltime for Priests for Life, as Director of “Civil Rights for the Unborn.” A former college professor who also served in the Georgia State House of Representatives, Ms. King is a best-selling author, a regular columnist for Newsmax and a Fox News contributor. Her latest book is “King Truths: 21 Keys to Unlocking Your Spiritual Potential.” A resident of Atlanta, she is also a spokeswoman for the Silent No More Awareness Campaign.

“Having Alveda as part of our team at Priests for Life is a great blessing for the movement,” said Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life. “We all know how deserving of this award she is, and our whole Priests for Life family thanks No Longer Bound for honoring one of our team members in this way.”

“I am so honored to be receiving this award from No Longer Bound,” Ms. King said. “Its members know, as I do, the pain of losing a child to abortion and they have experienced the healing that can only come from God. I am proud to stand with them and thrilled to have a chance to speak at the eighth anniversary luncheon.”
