TITUSVILLE, FL -- Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, issued the following statement today after House Democrats blocked a bill to save babies who survive abortion.

“The House Democrats have joined the Senate Democrats in recording their votes against life. We knew this would happen, but this November’s elections give all of us a way to make sure it doesn’t happen again. If a lawmaker can’t vote to save the life of a tiny newborn gasping for breath, he or she can’t be trusted with anything.

“Vote them out.”

Father Pavone was commenting on a House Motion to Recommit that was introduced today to bring the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act to the floor for a vote. The Democrats defeated the motion by a vote of 187-220.

Priests for Life (EndAbortion.US)  is the world’s largest Catholic pro-life organization dedicated exclusively to ending abortion. Pro-life efforts are working. The abortion rate in America is the lowest it has been since Roe v. Wade and in recent years states have passed more than 400 laws to protect the unborn. The number of freestanding abortion clinics in the U.S. has dropped from 2179 in 1991 down to 710 today, and President Trump has placed 217 (and counting) pro-life judges on the federal bench.
