Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, and Evangelist Alveda King, Director of Priests for Life outreach “Civil Rights for the Unborn,” will take part in the National Day of Mourning for the Unborn, a prayerful protest that will place tomorrow and Saturday and travel through four Southern states.

Organized by Civil Rights for the Unborn, The Restoration Project and the Douglass Leadership Institute, pro-life and civil rights leaders will visit cities that are being targeted by Planned Parenthood, the nation’s number one abortion business.

To begin the nearly 700-mile journey, leaders and participants will gather tomorrow at Mount Olivet Church in Richmond for a press conference at 8 a.m. Then a caravan of cars and a van will make stops in Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina. After a press conference at Victory Christian Center in Charlotte at 2:30 p.m., the caravan will travel to Atlanta, where participants will stay overnight.

At 8 a.m. Saturday, there will be a press conference at First Baptist Church in Atlanta, where Evangelist King will be among the speakers. Participants will then board a bus and continue on to Birmingham, where Father Pavone lead a prayer at the rally at Guiding Light Church.

Some 20 million black babies have been killed by abortion since 1973’s Roe v. Wade decision. Black mothers have more than 30 percent of all abortions, despite being only about 13 percent of the population.

“The South isn’t the only place this is happening,” Evangelist King said. “In New York City, more black babies are aborted than born. It’s not racist to point out this truth. It is racist to perpetuate this genocide.”

Father Pavone said “This is an urgent message that bears repeating. The abortion cartel is working to eliminate black people in the U.S. They try to disguise this as compassion for the poor, but the truth is, Planned Parenthood and other abortion sellers are committing mass murder.”
