Evangelist Alveda King, director of Civil Rights for the Unborn for Priests for Life, will be the guest speaker this weekend at a fund-raising banquet hosted by the Memphis Coalition for Life.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 203 S. White Station Rd., Memphis.
The following day, at 10 a.m. at the church, she will address young people, ages 13 and up, at a free luncheon sponsored by the Coalition. Those planning to attend must register here.
“It’s so important to continue to talk to the young people,” Evangelist King said. “They have never known a time when abortion hasn’t been legal. The media and entertainment industry are constantly reinforcing the false message that abortion is normal and risk free. These are lies, and I am looking forward to opportunity to address these issues directly with young people in Memphis.”
According to the Coalition, Memphis, a city with three abortion businesses, is hub for abortion-minded mothers from Arkansas, Mississippi, and other Southern states.
